There’s a “New Kid on the Block” for boy band singer Joey McIntyre and his wife, Barrett. The couple welcomed a baby girl Tuesday afternoon.
“Kira Katherine McIntyre was born May 31st at 12:30 pm PST. 7 lbs., 3 oz., 21 in. A beautiful baby girl with great timing and gorgeous hair,” McIntyre Tweeted early Wednesday.
Joey and Barrett, who married in 2003, already have two children together; Rhys Edward, 1, and Griffin Thomas, 3. Last December, they announced that they were expecting again.
“Barrett and I are so blessed and grateful for the little one on the way,” the now-38-year-old singer told PEOPLE at the time. “We’ll have our hands full. Three’s the new nine!”
The proud pop will have a few weeks to bond with Baby Kira before its time for him to hit the road with New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys for the “NKOTBSB Summer Tour,” kicking off in Boston later this month.
